Hi all

I take back all my previous smugness...

Tried to play a DVD for the first time tonight and since then the 91 is being really strange.

I have tried all the usual stuff - auto config, re-booting etc.

The problem is this.

When i press any source the speakers some out of stanby no problem but the 91 displays the big Meridian logo and then goes back into standby,

every successive press of the source keys does the same.

When i disconnect the comms cable it will respond and start up correctly.

All cables are in ok and look fine - nothing was touched.

Any hints...

Hi, Is this a Controler issue?

i.e. Who is Master and who is slave?

I dont know what other kit you have.

Cheers, Chris smile

No 18 in the Hall of fame smile I have simple tastes; I am content to settle for the best:
GIK monster bass panels, rear wall. QNAP TVS 471i3. Roon into DSP5200SE via 210/ 218 zone... Explorer 2. Bluesound Pulse 2, Mini & Flex. 596v1, 518, Foxsat HD, Sony BDP, Pioneer 5090, 2 Chromecast's for LRB videos. MS200 to F80 for a Roon zone

Just noticed that irrespective of comms connection it does this.

it sometimes goes to source otherwise it will show logo and then go back into standby.

Running 2.11 - its pretty fresh.

didn't help.

i wonder if the disc i loaded has some sort of weirdness on it.

it was paul weller studio 150.

Hi Saltire,
I wonder if one of the comms leads is causing a short of some kind. Are these new leads or existing ones?
Regards,
Ian

What connection did you use, RS232 or USB-Serial? Are you using a laptop?

I would have suggested making the G91 the controller.

I forced the 861 to be controller and the system also had the G91 and DSP5200s and this worked very well.

Cheers,
