My two months old G68J has suddenly started to misbehave when I press "Function" + "Right arrow" on the remote. It hangs or restarts.

I have reloaded the firmware (1.3) and the config, but it's still the same problem.

It's connected to a G98DH and a G55.

Any ideas?

Try retyping and reconfiguring the processor.

If that doesn't work, you're going to have to contact M or your local distributor for assistance.

I had this problem and had to reconfigure several times using the configuration wizzard instead Mconfig but it eventually correctly reset. When I was doing this, I did a simplified setup to just see if I could get it to reset and once I did, I then used Mconfig to do a full set up.

I have now tried retyping, the config wizard, deleting my customized type and reloading it. But it still hangs as soon I go through the settings with "Function + arrows". Now also have sound dropouts every 2-5 minutes. The dropouts started about a week ago with 2-3 times on a DVD. I then thought it was bad discs, but now I think that was the beginning of the problem.

My G68 is working again. I turned off the power switch on the back side while I had dinner. When I came back, voilà, it works! I have tried so much so I really don't know if this was the trick. Anyway I'm happy. At least until next time.

I found disconnecting it and taking it for a drive in the car - ie to the Meridian factory. When you get it there it will be working and you feel really stupid for having a problem that is suddenly fixed the moment the Meridian guys take a look at it.
