Hello,
I'm looking forward to viewing any impressions on the G06! Our local distributor has said he will start receiving it at the end of May.He's proposed a special deal on the 07 which I have recently listened to but not on my gear, though, but nevertheless I feel the reviews I've read more less confirm what I've heard.Very good but not my cup of tea. I still miss that bite and pace of the 507 and I do hope I will find it in the 06 again.

Also, what bothers me is that initially the transports have been silent, which indicates to me that something in the transport is either broken or out of alignment or just worn. Again, I don't think this should happen in this player. At this point I'm looking at possibly moving out of Meridian because of this. Time will tell.
Cheers,
Craig. i feel the same - especially when my dealer got roode on my - so i don;t see myself calling him again for a service. i even thougth to get rid of G-08 because of that. but after that i thought - i love the sound and the only thing that can fail is a transport. and if it does - i will buy a new one for 30$-50$ and replace it myself (as i did for 588 - but that time i was stupid and got a transport from the dealer for 90GBP ).

Just to update the situation the Australian Meridian importer is having a look at the player for me next month and will replace the transport again if need be, all at no cost to myself. All is well with the world again.
Cheers,
Craig.

I really like hearing about positve experiences with Meridian service. It balances the occasional glitch. I've always had great experiences.
