I have a G68/AXV with B&W 800Ds in the front, 802Ns in the rear and HTM2D for a center. I have a KRELL TAS 200W for the center and rear (ie. 5.1 setup so really sides) and Classe 350/CAMS for the front 2 speakers. I have noticed a slight static or light poping noise at times in the rear left speaker. This only happens when the system is in PLXII mode. When I am running a true DD 5.1 mode in Cinema, I don't have this problem. Is this a problem with the system or is just a problem with the recordings that are 2 channel being translated to PLXII?

I have DSP's and find on some broadcast material using DPLII, there is a squeeling/squawking sound at low-ish volumes in the rear's.

I spoke with the mothership about this a year or so back and the indication was that there are different standards and qualities of how the program producers/broadcasters create the logic encoding. The bad ones result in the squawking. Good ones have proper surround info as you'd expect.

If the effect you hear is not permanent then it may well be program content related.

No 18 in the Hall of fame smile I have simple tastes; I am content to settle for the best:
GIK monster bass panels, rear wall. QNAP TVS 471i3. Roon into DSP5200SE via 210/ 218 zone... Explorer 2. Bluesound Pulse 2, Mini & Flex. 596v1, 518, Foxsat HD, Sony BDP, Pioneer 5090, 2 Chromecast's for LRB videos. MS200 to F80 for a Roon zone
