Just hooked into it via my Squeezebox -- there's a 90 day free trial. Otherwise check out pandora.com
If you like finding new music, this appears to be a really powerful, cool tool. Fascinating too in the way it breaks down songs and artists you like to find similar stuff. Using it w/a Squeezebox, select the 'why we chose this song' heading for some interesting info.

rblnr, I've already covered this topic.... posted February 12, 2006 11:15 AM Here's something you all might be interested in, an emerging internet radio service where you input the type of music you like (up to 100 different types) and their system puts together a 'personalised' music station that only plays the music you prefer. Advert free there's a subscription to be paid - but if you're prepared to put up with regular advertisements the service is free. I've tried the demo and I'm impressed. The downside is that currently it's only premanently available in the USA (you need to enter a zip code to register); but the door doesn't appear closed to future expansion to other countries - I guess it depends on demand. Slimdevices also has a link on its site for a 90 day free trial for Squeezebox owners, at - http://www.pandora.com/

Well worth knowing that although it's supposed to be limited to the US, the only way they check is to ask for your Zip code.
The only one I knew was 90210! Didn't fancy using my employer's one in San Jose.
It's a great service - I've had it on nearly constantly. I'd like to think that the reason it keeps choosing Britney Spears for me is a few teething bugs in the software, rather than any unconscious bias in my other musical choices! Other than that, I've discovered some great music from bands I'd never heard of. Still don't know what Erland Oye, Front 242 and Goldfrapp (my band choices) have in common with the blonde one, though.
Rbnlr, spinaltap - thanks for bringing it up!

It's 128kbps - ok, not fantastic. Better than DAB imho. Certainly good enough for discovering new music, which is my pet use for it at the moment.
Forgot to mention - you don't have to have a squeezebox, I'm using a PC to get it.

Wish it was a higher bit rate, but the sound isn't bad. As said, great for discovering new stuff.
