Hi Guys

I connected the serial cable to the G91DAB to do a setup change and now the player won't come out of standby. Any thoughts / help?
I have turned it off and on several times and unplugged to to now avail, the standby lamp is on but it won't work, no display, etc.

Is it a trip back to Meridian?

Regards

Bob

Thanks Daniel

Tried this but as it won't turn on (come out of standby), so the laptop can't see the processor. Why do Meridian still use a serial connector? I'm having to use a USB to serial adaptor that worked fine with my 568 and old laptop but now seems to have trouble.

The plot gets worse! I took the G91 out of the circuit and decided to connect the Sky box audio output to my 568.2 by optical link (it's normally MHR from G91 to 568.2). I connected the laptop to re-configure the 568.2 and now that's got an error and won't do anything but make a horrible noise! Just to change a connection things have to be easier than this.

Can anyone help?

Regards, Bob

Hi
568.2 now re-loaded firmware and it's back on song again but the G91 is still in permanent standby.

Hi
Unit gone back to Meridian. I spoke to them and as usual, they were very helpful. Apparently, there are lots of issues, as this is a big upgrade. They said most issues can be resolved over the phone but I had already sent it back!
