Tried to upload new firmware 1.77 to 561 which froze part way through. Now get an error message and "i i i" symbols. 561 does not respond to anything other than turning the power off. Is there any kind of system restore? I'm suspecting a trip back to M is in order frown Only got myself to blame.

Usually if you got far enough to corrupt it retrying will eventually repair.

Just proceed if nothing is wrong.

If you still have problems try to find a PC with a more stable serial port. Sometimes emulated ports (USB) are intermittent.

You'll likely be able to recover without sending it back.

TFTR: Having tried a couple that did not work, I'm using a USB to rs232 cable from Maplins that has worked although somewhat erratically. Ed from Meridian should be sending a suitable cable next week so will try again with that. I'll post again if no luck (after searching). Simon.
