Try to downgrade, if fuploader still regognise the machine.
I would disconnect it from the processor especialy the comms and try uppgrade again and again

oh no the only thing thats been uppgraded in my installation was the fuploader it actually downloaded verything took 3hours and did nothing :-(

John.... bangs goes my evening of fun............ no scaler=no sky..........no DVD.........no xbox........arghhhhh!! portable in the kitchen it is

now this is bizarre, turned all power off to my kit and then back on after 10 mins, sky came back on..... to the screen and also sound through the 68....... the 91 still doesnt work....... now i am worried!!!!

therefore video works via the 91 outputting to component even though the whole silver clad box looks dead... HELP SOMEONE!!

I think there will be a few calls made to Dealerships tommorow !

I hate to say this but everything downloaded and then uploaded perfectly on my G91 now running version 2.11 from 1.73. In fact it's the first new release of any kind that I have been completely happy with from M and has caused me no headaches!!

It's also really nice to see the DSP3100's appear on the config program which I hope to purchase very soon following a very positive audition.

One thing I did notice was that the Flash upload program did not recognise my player as "a G91 DH as expected". It said it found a G90 connected but then proceeded to erase the current memory and perform a fresh upload anyways!

After appearing all very smug about the situation it must be noted that even though I have the extra functionality (mainly based on HDMI) I cannot use any of it as I don't have an HDMI screen - yet!!

Does anyone with a successful upload know what the errors reported display means when using the OSD? I was playing my Faithless album and it counted an error in the first track but it didn't seem to affect the sound in any way - is this just the sign of a poorly recorded CD?

More fun Setups thinks i'm having the latests version !!! thats is utterly untrue omg probably have to reinstale, and hack the register, in one of my machines i had to remove every trace of this program to succesfully install it

You can re-install even if it thinks you have the latest version...

Just came back home.
This is how I've done it without a single problem:
-load new software on the machine and update from the web.
-load usd2serial into my laptop and recognise new port.
- get the software to verify the G series via the identity button.
-once this is done, load the mfp file into the app.
-press start, this time it will do both files at the same time before, you add to load each file manually to the player. now it is a 1 button action only.
-make sure that you do not have any screen saver running on the laptop because they might kick in before the software as loaded everything not a good idea.

I'm done and playing music will try DVD tonight, i can 1080p in the HDMI menu.
so far so good...

Does anyone know how to recover the unit if it does not show any signs of life ???

may be you can force it, can you verify the player at all if not then talk to Meridian....

No it is completely dead tried everything i can think of, i will just take it back to my dealer tommorow :-(
