Hello all,
there's a new review of the DSP5200 in the restricted section of the Media Centre.

Sorry
Due to it being restricted at this time - i.e. pre mag release it would be innapropriate to issue copies.
Suffice to say it is a good, if short and subjective, review.

Top spot marcusp,
A much more positive review than that which Whathifi gave! I wonder if they are the same speakers!! I would hope the final press of this review is a little more in depth about how they sound rather than just the technology used though.
Cheers
Simon

Simon,
If you look closely you can see that the review is rather a scan from a printed copy: that's exactly the final review.
And you're right: Unfortunately most reviewers - British or foreign - tend to focus on the technology rather than the sound. I remember 2 German reviewers writing endless sermons of how different (!) the setup of a M system (5.1) is to the setup of an analogue system.
It really is a pity that Britain's best mag hi-fi+ doesn't review M gear - for whatever reason. I'd love to read an extensive review concentrating on the sound and the ways to improve the performance, giving the M stuff the same care and attention they use when reviewing expensive tube amps.
Cheers
