Apologies for this being utterly OT for a Meridian forum but I just got a new toy and rate the forum members here on providing a quick response.
A few days ago I got a new laptop - Win XP Home. Running on a network with other Win 2000 machines.
I run a squeezebox/iTunes combination on a Win 2000 machine that cannot be upgraded - it is stuck with USB 1.1 etc. But does sit on my 10/100/802.11G network.
Yesterday I got an iPod!
I want to keep with my existing iTunes library that is used by Squeezebox but copy the tunes onto my iPod on my new laptop - USB 2. I had setup the Windows directory holding iTunes as shared and was hoping to mount it on the laptop and point iTunes on the laptop to the networked shared directory - but iTunes does not load the library - no error message - just no tunes appear.
Any suggestion on how to share an iTunes library between 2 Windows (2000/XP) machines via a network?
