Hi -
I've been able to find the RC codes for most things on my G68 (volume, mute, source etc), but cannot find any for selecting a DSP directly (ie. go directly to a Trifield MRC DSP instead of stepping through them all until I get to the one I want).
I've seen the RS232 codes to do this, but does anyone if it's possible the RC5 way?
Thanks, Paul

Hi Paul, I understand that they don't exist! I would like that too. The only way I know to achieve this is by a learning remote to create a macro for each DSP. It's not elegant! If you are listening to CD and your default was Music. Say you wanted a Trifield button. Then the macro would contain the code for the CD source(which would be Music DSP) followed by up/down codes (to get to Trifield DSP). This works on my Pronto.

Or....create a phantom source which is identical to your main source but default to Trifield instead of direct (or whatever you have normally)
There probably aren't too many permutations you'd look for.
I have CD as direct and DVD as Trifield. Both = the same 598 player.

Tahirs methods works as does Nicks.
In a perfect world, they would make all of the modes available via discrete IR Codes.
Are the surround modes accessible directly via RS-232?

As has been mentioned before, it'd also be great if you could eliminate modes for a given input. Toggling thru two or three modes wouldn't be such a big deal.

Thanks for responses, I like both ideas but I think ncpl's idea will work for me (I hadn't even thought of that).

Cheers, I think you can access the surround modes directly via RS232. At least it looks that way when you use the Meridian Controller app. Paul
