Could you please check those freq. specs again ?
I am under the impression that all those models will accept both 60Hz and 50Hz signals, that is on the component input (if fitted) YPbPr you could input both 480p@60 (NTSC) and 576p@50 (PAL).

You would want your display to support both freqs in order to watch NTSC and PAL under the best conditions.

In the UK you will need 50hz at 720p and 1080i over HDMI to use Sky HD, nobody is sure what you will get out of the analogue HD connections yet.

Try a pioneer 434/435/436 as they are all HD compatible.

Up until this year, the only plasma's worth bothering with were the pioneer ones, but the new panasonic 500 range pushes the pioneers hard, although pioneer are yet to release this years new models, due in october i believe, do yourself a favour and stick with these models.

Was that aimed at me?
The chroma bug was imho was not an issue just because the rest of the image was so poor, I kept my 598 because of the sound for a while but in the end I just wasn't using it because I had an SDI modded Philips 963 which has a superb mpeg decoder and isn't bad with film soundtracks, not so hot with music! So got rid of the 598 and got a 500MkII for RBCD playback.
