Who and where are the best Meridian dealers in the US? I am going to be doing some traveling this summer and would like to visit some dealers that represent Meridian correctly.
Thanks for sharing your time!

I have been quite pleased with JS Audio in Bethesda, MD. They were quite helpful even before I bought my 568.2 from them.
Dave at Ambrosia Audio is helpful too, though a bit quirky. I believe they are in LA or its environs.

i would echo Frank's sentiments verbatim.
i've had sub-optimal luck with the MA and NH guys. they don't stock anything, can't demo much of anything, don't know the gory details about the product lines, and want full MSRP. nice enough people, but M is not their focus.

MrDoody,
I can't agree more with the MA/NH folks! I believe I know the place your talking about. Hahaha! I'm surpised they carry Meridian again...they told me they were droping Meridian because of all the software problems about a year or so ago. Too many customers complaining about problems with the 861 software. I was just in the store a few weeks a go and they have the G series on display. One thing I like is they do let you take equipment home to try out in your own system.

I'd skip CSA in NJ, couldn't get them to do a minor repatch so I could here a different combo -- guess looking to spend 12K or so isn't enough warrant that effort. Suppose I should thank them though in that I then looked elsewhere and found more knowledgeable service at better prices.
Stereo Exchange is OK in NYC, though it can be a little chaotic. Some of the guys there have a pretty good handle on Meridian.

I've had good success with Definitive Audio in Bellevue, WA. Ask for Eric Ward if you go there; he knows a lot about Meridian.
If you want to do auditioning, you'd probably want to call ahead. They have several stores; if they know you're coming, they can be set up and ready to go.
They had no problem moving a bunch of equipment around so I could do as close to A/B comparisons as possible when I listened (and watched) various material.

JSAudio is amazing helpful, if you purchased from them. If you did not purchase from them, you are definitely a lower class citizen, IMHO.

I agree with MA area as well. I have managed to squeak 12% off if I push them. I assume you guys are talking about the Framingham area.
They are good about taking stuff home. Well, kinda. They basically let me buy it and return it with no questions asked. I also doubt they would order a 861 or any large DSP speaker, and be very happy about taking it back. The lower end preamps they are willing to take back and treat it as a demo.
They do have a reasonble trade up policy too.
But in store demo, knowledge and support are almost non existent.
I like Goodwins in Boston for non Meridian stuff. Which is the reason I have B&W/Krell and not Meridian back end. They give reasonable discounts, no problem bringing big expensive stuff home. Knowledge, not sure since I have not bought preamps from and there is not that much you really have to know about the speakers and amps. More personal taste. They do feel a little like car salesman though. They have some incredible equipment though.
If you are in Boston area you should visit Goodwins

I would skip CSA in NJ. However, I've had positive experiences with both Ambience Sound in Michigan as well as Metropolitan Music and Film in Chicago.
