I don't know about your ears or room, but I am familiar with what your excellent SE speakers can do if supported with decent cords. I regret believing Bob Stuart's assertion that the stock cables are fine (but not for great sound IMO), and grateful to my dealer for talking me into Shunyata. Don't worry about your warranties.

I also use Supra cables with my 7200SE. It made a little difference but noticeable for me. Perhaps the better shielding, the thicker core or something above my knowledge.
It probably also depends on the situation, cables interacting with each other etc. The Supra doesn't cost an arm and a leg.

As for ASR, Amir gets very exited about his measurements and seldom hears a difference or doesn't bother to give it a listen. He measures first and listens later which takes the neutrality out of the listening test. But he owns a overpriced Mcintosh setup ... which of course doesn't measure that well for the money but something made him dish out the big cash.

The measurement guys think that they and science know everything there is to know. But perhaps sound quality can't be measured by what science knows now until someone comes up with a way to measure sq. New things/ knowledge are not invented by the Amirs of this world that are stuck in what they know and can't think out of the box by keeping the option open that there might be something that they and science don't know yet.

Blind A/B testing is said to be the real neutral test, but the conditions are seldom completely stable (noise on mains, voltage fluctuations etc. etc.).
Being a cheap .ss, I try to buy my gear cheap and give it a try and if I don't hear a difference I can sell it for the same price or with a little profit.
It makes the experience more neutral for me.

But when I use Supra cables on electronics like 861, 808 and 818 I imagine it will be better.

Funny story with the Supra Lorad cable. Maybe 20 years ago i used to work with dance club and stage lighting, like DMX-512 computer lights. Anyway one of my long time clients told me this one lighting fixture in their rig is acting weird. So i took it down and brought it to my shop but the only power cable i had close by was my cable for my G08 which was a Supra Lorad i bought i think for $150 then. The worked perfect, no errors or anything. Through a boat load more testing on the bench and at the club it turns out the Supra cable was the only power cable that would work, any other power cable we tried would just get the light to go funky. Called everyone in the business, even the light manufacture themselves and no one could answer why.

So the owner wanted my cable but i did not want to sell him mine because i wanted it for my G08, i told him give 500 and it's yours, you know the F U Price. He turns around and hands me 10000 in cash and wants a supra lorad cable for everyone of his 20 lights he had. I then contact the American distributor and he sold me two roles of it in bulk but i forgot what it cost, i had to promise him i would not sell them back in to the audio market probably to not mess with his dealers. So i get the two rolls and all the exact same connectors in and go to the club to make and then install the cables but the club was club, no one was around.

I called up the owner and he got his liquor license pulled, he told me to keep the money and the cables. So now i just run Supra Lorads on everything, i love this cable but then again i got them for not only free but made money.

Till this day i don't understand why that one light would only work with this one cable, things in the lighting industry should not be like that.

That’s a great story! -even if I hadn’t grown up in Rockford

Whilst I use the Kimber Cables all round, one of the most noticed improvements was changing the mains fuses to UltraFuses & internal to SuperFuses on the 8k's. However, I didn't bother at £70 a time to change either the mains or internal fuses on the 808 or 861 as I couldn’t figure out how an improvement in power supply would improve data being sent on an ethernet cable.
