Also the display window on the Oppo shows multi channel and will change to 2 channel when selected on disc menu

Great news.
Paul kindly looked at my config. Sorted a few things and I reinstalled it.
It has solved the problem. I now have discrete audio for DVD audio discs.
I really can't thank Paul enough for his help.
Also a big thank you to everyone that was willing to help

Good all now sorted. One thing l did “discover “ is The Oppo doesn’t like
ALL DVD audio discs which is covered in the Instruction Manual.

There was an issue with the MD1 input.
I am now using the MMHR input instead.
