Hi all, does anyone know the technical root cause of the IL65 mode being activated randomly upon AC power being activated?

Is there some backup battery running low? Microcontroller pin power sequencing oddity? I have 3x DSPs and they enter IL65 too much and I can't keep the mains powered on at all times.

Quick update and background:

My TV triggers a surround processor to turn on via HDMI-CEC. The processor then triggers an external relay power strip using trigger outputs. My 3x DSP5000v2's are powered by this strip and I slam them all on at once with the unit power switches always set to "on."

Nothing scientific here, but I checked the comms cables and soldered them all up like Median specs but there was no improvement- still pretty frequent IL65's on all three units. I remembered reading someplace on the internets that power quality on mains switching and startup was suspected as a root cause, so I increased the trigger delay in the processor to my relay power strip to 1s, then finally to the max of 3 seconds. This separated the startup surge of the 85" TV and the surround processor from the speakers. The result is, anecdotally, much less frequent IL65's. Pure conjecture at this point: I wonder if power quality is messing up the timing or quality of the initial EEPROM load into the microcontroller. The next time I have the speaker backs off I'll add some filtering (capacitance) to the main DSP board power rail. The idea being the capacitance will quiet and synchronize the startup of all the DSP board components.

A pity that you cannot allow the mains to go into standby to eliminate the relay power strip option.BTW nice setup.

I hear you. Seems a waste always pulling 80 watts in "standby" or I would.
