Hi,

I'm new here! I have a G68XXV Firmware 1.44 connected to LG with Toslink optical.

The G68 recognize the PCM 48Khz signal but no sound regardless DSP.

If I set the TV to Optical Auto works properly but after appr 1min pure noise.

The DAC no problems, perfect sound (PCM only).

Any recommendations! Also does the G68 recognize the signal does that have any influence independently of the format or signal processing limitations?

Cheers

It sounds like the TV might have a problem, do you have another digital source with an optical out to test the connection?

Check that the TV is outputting 2.0 and also check that the TV is actually configured to output on the Optical. There are usually options for that.

It's LG G1, I am just able to select sound optical output Toslink PCM - Auto or Passthrough. PCM with the DAC no issues, with the G68 no sound.

I basically use it for streaming, I am not sure how the G68 responds while the LG processor finds the compatible format output, because in Auto sounds good for less than 1 min afterwards just noise.

Thanks for the help!

I tried one last time and not long after started sounding properly in PCM! I never have experience any delay even though the G68 recognize the PCM 48Khz signal right from the beginning.

Thanks anyway grin

There is actually a setting in Mconfig which makes sure the device expects a bad PCM source and makes sure it gets handled properly.
