Hi All,
I have quite a simple setup that was working OK but I recently moved it from one room to another and now can’t get the left channel working when connected to the TV.
I have a 218 unit to allow connection to Sonos and a TV. Sonos is connected with coax digital input and all works perfectly including "works with Sonos control". The TV (Samsung) is connected with optical set to PCM, I can only get the right channel to work.
I cant remember how I had it connected before but have tried SL out from 218 to Master speaker and then a cable from that speaker to the other and with direct connections from the 218 to each speaker.
Both speakers show the correct source selection but I just can't get any audio out of the left (Master) speaker when connected to the TV. I don't have any other optical out devices to test. I have tried a factory reset on the TV and 218 but no luck.
Any suggestions on how to connect and test would be very welcome.
Many Thanks

What brand and model tv? Some have sound modes that can complicate a simple setup.LG comes to mind.

Hi Bruce, It’s recent Samsung S95C TV. It was working previously set to PCM output.

It may be worth re-typing the speakers - Type 6 should be fine.
Make sure you have Master and Slave set correctly, and also Left and Right. Set the input to RJ45 (assuming you have them connected via SpeakerLink)
It could be that you've accidentally typed it as Type 5, where different sources use different digital inputs...
Good luck,
Steve
