Need to confirm if the aux digital out supports multi-channel 5.1 streams or not on the G98DH.
If yes, does the the type setting chosen (1-6) matter or not? Currently my Meridian G98DH is set to type 1.

Hi,
According to p3 in the manual the Aux Digital output offers a stereo downmix or a bitstream signal, so it can pass Dolby Digital AC-3 onto a non Meridian surround sound processor.
Type 1 is for connecting the G98 directly to a pair of DSP speakers, so Type 2 would probably be more appropriate if you’re connecting the G98 to the Trinnov.
