Haven't posted here in a few years, albeit been lurking in the shadows from time to time. The recent demise of mysqueezebox.com and the resulting loss of tidal forced me urgently into the streamer market recently as don't really want to add a device running LMS all the time.

Anyway I went for the Wiim pro and it's been happily feeding my ac200 via coax, into my 5200's out of sight without any drama. The loss of my SB touch from active duty however has removed the ability for USB out, not a problem until i began musing bringing my prime/ps combo out of temporary storage this last week. Clearly should have waited until the revised display screen version of the wiim device was launched i hear you cry, which does have USB. Patience was never a virtue sadly.

Given there is no way of feeding my prime directly from the wiim pro in the digital domain, I wondered if the 3.5mm headphone jack on the ac200 could be used to feed the analogue inputs on the prime, and if so if anyone had tried this in the past, not sure how the ac200 DAC stacks up etc. ? I seem to remember a few threads about sub connectivity via this route. Of course I can hook a phone up easier and sit the prime in a separate system so to speak for headphone listening, but would prefer using the wiim for all streaming duties.

Any thoughts most welcome.

My SOtM sMS-200 is a Network/Ethernet Audio Bridge that effectively delivers a digital connection to my Meridian Prime.

Router > RJ45 > sMS-200 > USB > Prime

The sMS-200 is a capable LMS player, too (using iPeng as Squeezebox Remote).
