Hi All,

I looked up my problem and couldn't find, so here it goes:

User Floris watched one of my videos and noticed that my HD621 was setup for 8 channels while I was listening to Apple Music in Atmos. He suggested I looked into that.

I did, but now I cannot store the new settings. I’ve tried both from the G68 and or directly to the HD621 via RS232.

Once it acknowledges handshake, the next thing is an error message indicating that it could not reboot or reset the HD621. The next try after that gives a bunch of red Xs and it can't find it. Then I have to manually switch off-on because it freezes. I tried disconnecting comms, remving HDMI cables and turning off projector. Is this a dreaded dying PSU case?

Members have already pointed me in the right direction for the part and I am ready to pull trigger. Unit IS functional otherwise.

Is your HD621 running the latest fw version (1.1.1)?

Have you also tried typing (resetting) the HD621 using Mconfig?

I presume the RS232-USB adapter works fine with your G68?

I think with the HD621 you can also store a new config, without fetching first.

Thank you Floris. It won't go past the handshake. To establish the communications fully, as you know, it needs to reset and this is where it fails. I don't have the latest firmware, but I don't know if it would allow me to flash it, since it locks up and has to be manually rebooted.
