What’s a ‘realistic’ selling price for a January, 2023 registered pair of DSP5200SE’s (with 300 hours of estimated use)?

Or, more accurately, what should I be willing to pay?

Supposedly in good condition with no nicks, dents or scratches.

No one on this forum is involved, nor any participating forum PP.

5000 in my opinion. There are multiple sets available that have been sitting unsold for months at 6000 so I’d say the market clearing price is lower.

That’s more like the price for a 5 year-old pair in my estimation (more when bought from a PP, due to them supplying a warranty) - rather than a pair that’s roughly 18 months old.

I don't know the answer but a wild guess would suggest £6,500 or something.

They’re asking for £9k.

Too much?

Haha! Double what they’re worth. I’d sat £4.5 to £5k, in vgc. £9k is 7200SE territory, which is a fair step up in a number of ways.

With such a limited market anything might happen. They are fishing. I’d be patient and wait for a decent deal.

5200SEs seem quite wanted, until they aren’t. 5200.2s can be a steal, not too far off SEs.

The private market is going to price a 5 year old pair the same as an 18 month old pair

£9k feels too much for me but they've presumably built in some wriggle-room for themselves. The question is; do you think it's too much?

£13k new vs £9k = £4k saving, with balance of 5 year warranty was my initial response.
