Hello, after trying to connect my 861v1 861v4 to Meridian config software I have error after start:
“Bad EEPROM contents”
How can I fix this error?
Where I can download latest firmware for v4?
I tried legacy utility - it works, but EEPROM message still exists.

I made Retype from this post, Trouble with 861v4 EEPROM error was fixed. But I don’t understand what manual page 50 is talking about? I downloaded 861v4 User Guide and there is nothing about Retyping on page 50.

Hi,
The page numbering doesn’t start at 1, so page 46 (Choosing standard setting*) is the 50th of 62 pages in the online version. *As listed on the contents page.

I had a problem with a v1 some time ago and got some fantastic help here on these forums so I'll pay it forward. Msg me your email if you still need the firmware. I had some trouble getting it done but, with help, was eventually successful. The unit is long gone but I still have the firmware and notes and can forward those instructions if you're having the same troubles that I had.

Wait... your post says v1 but your title says v4. Which is it you're looking for?

It was my mistake, I've got v4.
Firmware for 861v4, DSP7000 and DSP5200HC (coaxial) are still needed.

I've got a folder full of firmware from the "suite" of software that was distributed for a time by Meridian. It included all the install, command, update and legacy software including a folder full of firmware for all models up to that date. There is a folder for the v4 and the DSP7000 but nothing for the 5200.
I don't have the speakers and went from an 861 v1 to a v8 so don't know anything about whether latest firmware versions are are present for your models but if you know the file names I can look or send the folder if you want it.

Try this procedure it has helped me quite a few times when there have been problems, it works on 861v4 also: How to upgrade firmware on 861v6 and 861v8PM me for firmware.

How do you find out which version of hardware is being used?
