Hi all,
I have a 251 in the bedroom for TV and occasional roon/streaming duties. I picked up a G12 in the hope I could use basic control of volume etc instead of picking up the tablet or phone (lazy I know 😂)
I’ve set the 251 to controller via the Meridian app and configuration setup then stored it as per the manual, but, when I plug the g12 into the ir input the 251 sounds like a relay clicks inside and the unit shuts down. No lights, not findable on the IP address and becomes un responsive to anything. If I power the 251 down and unplug the G12 the 251 will reboot and start up again.
Am I missing something stupid? I assumed it would be plug and play?

I suggest that you contact your PP for product support.
I own a G12 connected to my 218 so that I can use my MSR2.
It all works as advertised without any of the issues that you have experienced.
