I was supposed to do a reset (change the type) on an 861v8 from the front panel with the arrow keys (arrow up), but there is no choice on type, only one choice to set SpeakeLink on/off?

I have followed the instructions in the manual, which says... ![[Linked Image]](https://www.meridianunplugged.com/ubbthreads/gallery/16/full/3921.png) But the only choice is to set SpeakerLink on/off?

This can happen when one of the internal cards is having a wobble. Might be worth a call in to M (under warranty) or Mr Tech Guy (outside of warranty)

Not sure what you mean by "one of the internal cards is having a wobble".

Not sure what you mean by "one of the internal cards is having a wobble". Faulty. One of the cards is faulty. Probably the main board that handles comms

If you are lucky you may be able to reseat the cards (carefully). Has it been in transit recently?

Contact cleaner and a repeated (gentle) insertion and removal can also help.

Thanks for the suggestions, I'll give it a try. But it hasn't been moved in months. But it's the first time I've tried that function on it.

Just checking you are using the correct button. It is the UP arrow button on the main panel next to the Off switch and not the arrows behind the flap...
I made that mistake the first time I tried this function!!

That was exactly the mistake I made, I thought it was up the arrow behind the flap. When I now press the up arrow on the main panel (volume up) it works. Now I have learned something new, thank you very much for the information
