What to do with a Meridian 500 Mk2 CD Transport.
I’ve fitted a mint perfectly working Philips CDM 12.4 Laser and Mechanism (taken from working machine proven to be 100% perfect) and had the Laser output calibrated by someone with relevant skills and test equipment, however the machine intermittently skips,so now eliminating that it is anything to do with the Transport or Laser it appears to be something today with Servo Control (as advised by Russ at Mr Tech Guy) apparently now parts are no longer available and machine is therefore unrepairable.
Just wondering if anyone knows of any other solutions to get it repaired or working again,is there any specialists that could diagnose Servo faults and replace necessary parts as required? It’s a lovely sounding machine and I’m loathed to right it off,I like the build and aesthetics I also use the XLR 110 ohm Balanced out, which isn’t featured in subsequent alternatives that I’ve considered.
Thanks for any responses or potential help. Mark

Are you sure it's not dust or dirt on the laser head? or dust/lube problem in the pinion mechanism?
561, HD621, DSP5000s(24/96), DSP33C, DSP33 surrounds, Pioneer DV575A CD/SACD/DVD-A, Panasonic DB170 (561 to be replaced with G68 shortly.)

As far as I am concerned, there are different versions of the CDM 12 Philips transport. Are you sure, you have the exact same version? The CDM 12 is not known for great reliability as are the CDM 4 swing arm transports.
