I'd love to hear anyone's comments that have heard both the DSP9 and the DSP8000XE and how they compare.

There are a few on here that heard both at the Meridian HQ recently. Unfortunately, I couldn't make the second day where they got to listen to both, so I've only heard the DSP8000XE's, not the DSP9's. They are exceptionally good, though!

Great to see such an enthusiastic mini-review of the DSP9.

15Hz, that is new in the fullrange Meridian world! Cool!
Would be amazing if the whole range could accomodate lower frequencies in the world of DSP software.

I will have both in my room as soon as they reach the US. I have the first production pair coming into the country.

Anyone know when a DSP5200XE will arrive and how much it will be?

I'm not sure there will be such a beast, much as I would like to see one.

The DSP9's appear to be the closest to a replacement for the DSP7200SE's, but I'm not sure the costs associated with the focus on sound quality will scale well to a product that is less expensive.

It’s quite difficult to find reviews of 7200 or 8000 speakers in recent years. Surely they have been worth reviewing.

Tooney -Said jokingly- Are you insinuating Meridian forgot how to charge a profitable retail amount?

Last week I saw the sticker on the new Wilson’s. When I retired 10+ yrs ago I put in system upgrades from 6000s and 5500s across my fronts to 7200SE Centers and 8000SE 1 pair UG 1pair in my 2 locales.

With the 7200 and 8000s, dimensions of 30x20 by 15in one and say 18x25x12. Soft furniture with heavy drapes. Mark Koval did my setups. While my joints are arthritic my 2 left ears 👂👂measure real good. I need to stop by Bruce’s soon to see what I am not going to buy ATM. Can’t imagine it getting better but open ears.

Anna Lapwood has a new album out called Luna, recorded in the UK at the Royal Hospital School. Anna was on BBC radio 3 last night talking about how impressive the bottom end of this organ sounded as well as the colour from the romantic instrument,
The album is available in Hi Res and sounds wonderful on my 7200SE speakers.
