I want to connect a SW1600 to an 86v8. Do I have to use an AC12 or can I connect it directly to my Center DSP5200 SL?

You should be able to use BNC comms and phono-to-phono digital to link the SW1600 to the DSP5200.

I don't think you will get the SW1600 to work with speakerlink, so BNC will be the only option.
