Went into my Sooloos system via the Chrome browser on my partner's Windows 10 PC to play a piece of music via the laptop.
When I played the selected piece it started up on an old PC in another room because I had not selected the right local zone - doh! But at least Control:Web worked for distributed systems.
Selected the correct local zone on my partner's PC and got an error message saying that Flash must be installed. Tried playing the piece of music and it just stuck on loading.
So is it correct that Control:Web uses/used Flash for local (i.e. via the laptop itself) audio duties and thus is obsolete (on W10 and above) as Flash is end of life?
Tried the same with my Windows 11 PC and, not unexpectedly, got the the same result.
Started to install Control:PC but encountered a message saying I required the .NET framework.
Before I continue, does Control:PC work under Windows 11?

One solution is to partition your hard drive, with an older version of Windows that is fully functional with Flash and .Net

I don't have Windows 11, but if your sticking point is .NET 3.5, this link will get you started in getting it installed on your computer. The other thing you may/will be asked to do is allow Control:PC access through your firewall.

Sorry to dig this old thread up, but I purchased a new laptop today which of course has Windows 11. I had to try installing and running Control:PC since I believed that Win 11 was just a fancy wrapper for Win 10. I can confirm now that Control:PC does run on Windows 11. It installed the exact same way as it did on Win 10. I ran the Control:PC install file and it complained that it needed .NET Framework. I downloaded .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 (Runtime) from Microsoft and installed it. I reran the Control:PC install again and it installed. I had it run Control:PC after installation and as the program was coming up, it prompted me to allow three of Control:PC's components access through my firewall. After that was done it had found my server and the music was playing. This was the link I used to download the .NET Framework file: https://dotnet.microsoft.com/en-us/download/dotnet-framework
