It's been a while since I did this so I may be misremembering.
I picked up some 5200.1s for a second system. Firmware 1.3, retyped to type 1, checked the L/R M/S, all good, got some 96/24 goodness coming through a Wiim Pro (highly recommend btw).
I want to bump up the bass, permanently. So I've gone into Setup for the Master by using Store at Power On. Changed the bass +2, saved with Fn+Store, power cycle.
In normal operation, when I look at the bass settings, it shows 0dB. Should that show +2dB ? Or is the speaker saying 'You are now 0dB from your reference level [which you have already set to +2]"
Thank you.

It shows 0dB in normal use because, iirc, you can't store treble/bass/tilt settings.
Every time you turn the speakers on, they will default back to 0dB.
You can store position settings, sub settings, and, I believe, separate/permanent centre tilt offset, if you run a centre speaker.

Yes, I think you are right. Thank you for confirming. I re-read the manual again, very slowly, after your prompting. I had mis-over-estimated the instruction in the Setup section of
To store the settings Once you have adjusted the frequency response for the speakers in your system you should store the settings using the following procedure: Press Function Store.
which of course is referring only to the frequency response in Free/Boundary etc, rather than Bass and Treble, even though Bass and Treble come up as you cycle through the available settings in Setup mode.
Thanks again.

Yes I agree it’s confusing, especially since the bass/treble controls, as you say, still appear in setup mode.
