I have been gifted some DVD audio discs, which don't seem to want to play on my 800 machines there a special setting, or could it be they are different regions perhaps, any ideas

IIRC, DVD Audio playback was added in 800v3.

Hi, I can think of a couple things: 1 The ROM drive is starting to fail, and it's having trouble reading DVD-A discs (happened to mine, CDs were fine but DVD became very hit-n-miss). 2. It's a playback region issue, if so this may help 800 DVD Region FreeRegards, Carl Update; thanks Joel, I completely missed this is v1, doh!.

Thanks for your input folks, seems like it's not an option on my machine, shame cos I was looking forward to blasting "Billion Dollar Babies" later on.
