There have been a number of kits sold in the US. I have not had the opportunity to install or hear one yet.

I have today received the DSP8000XE Performance Pack upgrade for my factory clamp ring DSP8000SE speakers courtesy of the legend Lee from Audio Images.
The upgrade consists of a new power supplies pack, rear electronics pack and new tweeter.
First disc in was Rod Stewart with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra CD, sound is sublime, Rod seemed in the room just in front of the RPO. Whilst the top end has much more clarity the enhanced bass performance is striking.
I then moved onto Top Gun Maverick in 4K (currently I mainly watch films/TV) and again the sound is stunning, more detailed and once again bass enhancement.
I suspect I will put more music on going forward, especially once I retire and will have the time luxury to really appreciate their performance.
I took a total leap of faith in Meridian with this upgrade as I had not had any opportunity to hear the performance pack anywhere. After 30 minutes of listening I am very happy.
I look forward to many future years of Meridian enjoyment.

Thanks for your report. I think you are the only member who has gotten the upgrade.

I think you are the only member who has gotten the upgrade. I have a performance pack just installed on my DSP8000SL. I wasn't in a position to get the SE upgrade when that was available, so booked the PP when it became available. It's still settling in so no detailed report just yet.

Yes, amazing! Congrats from me too; it must be a night-and-day upgrade over the old SL version. I'm sure we're all looking forward to hearing your thoughts once the brutes are settled in & you've got an ear for what they're capable of.
Wonderful.

I thought I should post back. This upgrade from my original 8000SL is stunning - so transformational for what is basically replacing the electronics and tweeter. Who would have thought it could make such a difference. It's unlocked a presence that wasn't really there before - I used to love Trifield and relied on my 7200HC to fill out the centre but it's no longer required. I'm pleased I was able to leapfrog the SE upgrade as it would have been a harder call.
Some material I really didn't like - I found it tiringly bright - like the remaster of Graceland has definitely improved. I don't have MQA working yet as I haven't done the updated config to use the 818 direct to the speakers. Will be done in the next few weeks.

I'm pleased I was able to leapfrog the SE upgrade as it would have been a harder call. That's what stopped me. I know how much of a difference the SE upgrade made, so you must be doubly pleased. Enjoy.
