Hi all,

I have two OA08 cards in my 861v8.

Two of the individual RCA outputs have developed a hum (one severe, the other mild) which I believe has been caused by some trauma recently occurring.

I was working behind my 3 channel power amp (that the OA08's connect to), and I accidentally did something wrong; may have crossed wires - suddenly blue electrical flash behind the amp, bzzzzz electric noise, loud noise!; I immediately then turn the amp off. Yikes.

Subsequent to testing everything, I know all channels of the power amp are ok, but, two(2) outputs of the OA08 are now humming loudly - ever since. I know it is two particular RCA outputs specifically, because I've tested every other output of the OA08's into all 3 channels of the power amp - no hum.

- Does anyone know if there is any way (or if any dealers or Russ, Mr Tech Guy?) are able to repair OA08 cards? Is a fix possible, noting the above situation you think, or have I likely ruined the cards permanently ?

I'm no technician or engineer, but noting the 861 was "On" while I was working on the cables at the back of my power amp, I can only assume somehow the electric shock has made its way back up the RCA cables and done something/damaged the RCA outputs? Is this a possible occurrence?

I should clarify that the outputs still output sound, ie music from the 861 etc. But they ALSO hum!
