I've got one of these in black, new condition and only used for about a month.
When I went over to Roon streaming I consulted my local hi-fi dealer to get advice on the equipment I needed. He told me I should have a 218 and an AC200, so I bought both. They were installed for me by the dealership. I noticed however, after the first month, that the connections on the back of both were about the same so I experimented with taking the AC200 out of the installation. No difference. Everything worked as before. I went to the hifi dealer to tell him my findings and ask what was the AC200 actually for? He said, and I quote, "your system will sound better if the AC200 is used". I disagreed as I told him I had noticed no degradation in sound quality after the AC200 was removed from the system and expressed my wish to have a refund on the grounds that I was sold a very expensive bit of kit that wasn't needed. He refused. I think I was scammed, frankly, and my ignorance of Meridian kit at the time used to con me into buying more equipment than I required.
I therefore have a brand new, boxed and virtually unused AC200 for sale. Does anyone have any thoughts of what a fair asking price would be were I to sell it here?
