I need a Meridian Q lead. I have a Q1. Could this be modified? If so how? I have managed to find two different diagrams of the Q1 but no diagram of the Q. I wonder if it might just be a simple seven pin din lead. All help gratefully received. Eric

Hi,
You can use a Q lead or Q1 lead for your application. I was told this many years ago by a Meridian dealer.

Thank you.
I suspect that the only difference is that the Q1 has a 100k resister between the screen & the middle pin and ferrite beads.
The actual pin to pin connections are the same.
Do you know if this is so?

Hi,
I think that is very likely to be the case, having found my notes.
From Meridian "The Q1 can be used everywhere the Q lead was used. They’re both 7-pin pin-to-pin. The “1” denoted a change in grounding."

Also Provenance: Supplied by Meridian via Grahams Hi Fi.
Q lead Ground/screen connected one end only
