I've also got a broken 568.2mm in spare, and I think it has an Carnhill VTB1847 transformer. (from what I can see on the sticker) sampleOf course not sure if the sample link is the correct one.. What is wrong with yours, I wonder.. Mine is very slow in response, and wont give any audio at all, but does accept audio input signals..

Many thanks for taking the time to post the link,I’m chasing a fault with comms and I’m not convinced it a cable issue and I was taking a punt that it could be the power supply.

What kind comms problems are you facing? We have sometimes issues with the volume not syncing with the 5K5HC and the 568.2mm. It's for example not always the same on both... I have btw also found this website which I presume's sell's the transformer used in the 568.2, but I am not sure...

Hi,
Volume sync is one of my issues but with the main L/R in a 7.1 setup,also after a short period everything after the centre speaker doesn’t respond to commands and stays live even after shutting down the system.
If I power down the entire Meridian setup and leave for a few days it sometimes powers up correctly but then once everything has warmed up it begins to fault again thus pointing me in the direction of a power supply …. Pure guess.

I see.
That's strange about your center speaker, I think we are using the same one here..
Our's is always however going into standby mode, when putty the 568.2mm into standby.
I presume all your cables are checked and in good working condition ?
Have you tried retyping (resetting) the 568.2, and are you running the latest firmware on it ? (2.5b9)
I think these transformers are pretty rock sollid, perhaps you need a total recap on all the DSP and audio boards to begin with..
I'm sure this will improve the audio quality, as well as breath new live into your preamp.
MrTechGuy or other hitchhikers can help you with this I think..
I am thinking of first trying this on my dead 568.2mm I have as a spare..
