The UHD722 has been updated to support HDCP 2.3, HDMI 2.0b, Dolby Vision and HDR10+ on 5 inputs and both outputs.
All currently shipping units will include this update.

At this time there has not been one announced. It was a running hardware change, mainly the HDMI board so no model number change.

At what point would you need these? Is it when the display can do HDR 10+ and Dolby Vision? I run ATV 4K today with Infuse 7 and the regular streaming services but PJ does not currently support HDR and thus ATV4K transcodes HDR->SDR.

I'm confused.
I run a UHD722 to 2021 LG OLED TV with sources Sky TV (UK), Firestick 4k, and Oppo 203. Sky only does HLG or HDR10 but the Firestick and Oppo 203 provide HDR10 / Dolby Vision and the LG TV shows the format on display.
Does this mean my UHD722 is not processing the video correctly at the moment (HDR10/Dolby Vision) and I require the new upgraded hardware?

What baffles me is that HDMI 2.1 is already out there and this is HDMI 2.0b one would hopefully assume this will be a firmware upgrade and not a new chipset.

What does the LG display as the format when connected to the Oppo or Firestick?

When I use the LG native apps Amazon Netflix Disney then if it's HDR10 it shows HDR10 and if Dolby Vision then it shows Dolby Vision. So exactly the same as it shows when viewing HDR10 or Dolby Vision content from the Oppo or Firestick via the UHD722. It's a bit of a faff to connect the Oppo or firestick directly to the LG and I think the native LG Apps tell the story anyway.
Firestick Oppo and Sky all normally connected to the UHD722 inputs. UHD 4k content on these is always HDR10/Dolby Vision anyway (sometimes HLG from Sky rather than HDR10).

Let me be more clear with my question. When playing content from a Firestick or Oppo through the UHD722, what does the LG show as the received format? I understand what the LG native apps would display as the format but I am a little confused about the rest.
