My MD600 will not power on, has anyone had this issue?
I have unplugged it and tried plugging into a different outlet to no avail. I am hopeful that the issue is simply a blown fuse. Can anyone instruct me how to get at the fuse beneath the plastic cover by the power cord connection?
I welcome any and all suggestions to fix and restore power without having to send the unit out for repair.
Thanks in advance.

For fuse removal have a look at this paper usually a spare is also there. Also check that the internal CR2032 battery on the mother board is ok.

Thank you Carlton for pointing me to the paper about replacing the fuse in the IEC connector of my MD600.
I also followed your suggestion to replace the 2032 battery on the motherboard. Unfortunately, it’s going to take greater diagnostic and repair measures because my unit would not power on after those two steps including the removal of five years of dust build up.
The next step is to box up my unit and send it to Texas to have it repaired by Meridian’s US third party trouble-shooter. (I might send along my 818.2 to be upgraded to v3 while I’m at it.)
Again, I am grateful to the Hitchhiker community always offering sound advice and resources to solve the problems we encounter with our kit.

I finally managed to ship my dead MD600 down to The Repair Shop. Turns out the power supply and the motherboard were fried. Jason and Mark were able to find a mother board replacement and a new power supply. I should have my MD600 back in time for Christmas so that I can enjoy my Sooloos collection on my C15 for the holidays - closest I can come to a good old fashioned jukebox. Next stop, upgrading my 818 v2 to a v3 instead of buying an Ultra DAC.
