Hello all I have not posted on here in awhile but thought you might be able to help me. I have a G68AXV and have been very happy and have had no problems until now. I added a second analog surround sub to my system and it will not try to calibrate it. No surround sub shows up in the speaker calibrate wizzard even though in the setup wizzard it show surround sub as second sub. The subs are REL Stadium III's. Any input would be helpful Thank you

Hi there, You are doing nothing wrong. I had the same problem myself. It took Meridian 5 months to solve this problem for me. You have to ask them for new g68 software 1.16 or above and you also need the new configuration program version 1253 which solves the problem. If you just install the 1.16 software it wont be enough because the current configuration program has a glitch in it when you store your setting with a rear sub. Hope this helps.

No problem. Speak to Andrew (Boris) in software. He knows all about the problem. Cheers, Steve.

I No problem. Speak to Andrew (Boris) in software.? I thought he was a sales and marketing guy. It's mentioned in one of the hifi mags recently, can't remeber which one I will dig it out. I usually talk to Des or Ed they seemed to always answer the questions I have and sometimes supply the odd software update ![[Linked Image from softronix.com]](http://www.softronix.com/ubb/wink.gif) .

Andrew a.k.a Boris is one of the main persons within Meridian UK. He just knows a lot, but is not specific of the software department as far as i am aware..

Yes that is correct. Contact the U.K office and speak to him. I am in Australia and when I e-mail him normally he is very quick to respond.

Does this new 1.16 version solve the following problem? If I have two subs connected to the G68axv it requires them to be connected via rca and it places them as left/right subs only. If I want one sub connected i am obliged to use a balanced connection and it places the sub in next to the center speaker. Also if you have two subs, you can not set the main L/R speakers as large and this sounds a little weird to me.
And I have another weird question - what if your space is large enough and you want to have 3 subs - what do you do then?
It would be nice if (like some other newer mainstreet amps do) have the option to set the frequencies each of your speakers are capable of playing, and have the sub(s) take over and complement the speakers with freqs not being 'covered' instead of simply setting them as small - I have the feeling that it would sound better overall specifically if all your speakers are the same..

I would like the option of setting the high-pass filter on a per-speaker basis too.

I agree, I sold my 568.2 and bought a Lexicon and it made a big difference, still not as good as the Meridian though and I am back.
No Darling, I've had it months!

Paolo:
To be honest with you, a crossover per speaker (or per grouping really) doesn't buy you that much. What you do however, is make it such that each speaker (or grouping) is fighting different problems which can make the acoustics much worse.
I went to the trouble of going with 5 identical speakers specifically to avoid this issue.
Cheers,
