I am using Mconnect Tidal to stream to the 210 MQA music and I have not seen the MQA light light up for a few months. Used to turn green mainly but now I get nothing.

The music says it is master. Some may only 16bit 44KHz but I tried stairway to heaven 24 bit master and still nothing.

Is this a known fault or I'm doing something wrong?

Tidal hifi plus is my subscription.

Have you made any changes to your system and have you restarted it since the problem occurred? Do you have any other equipment that you can test the track on?

It's been unplugged at the mains a few times.

I have nothing else to test on.

Is there anything in the settings?

Try fully uninstalling the app (by using AppCleaner, for example).
Restart PC/Mac.
Reinstall software.
Restart PC/Mac.

Mconnect is on my phone

MQA is not compatible with Bluetooth.

...and what were you doing differently when you did have the green light?

I'm using UPnP.

I'm not aware I'm doing anything differently. Just noticed lights don't come on anymore.

It's a strange one.

I tried using BubbleUPnP still no lights on the 210.

So if we assume that Tidal HiFi Plus is sending full stream it means the issue is with the 210

Very odd. I cannot imagine how it could play the music perfectly but then it won't switch on MQA functionality

The easiest test would be to try it in a system that is know and working. I’m not local to you as you could just try it here…

I've downloaded the BubbleUPnP app and haven't been able to get it to work yet.
Using an Android phone.

I’ve tried Mconnect on my iPhone, linked to my Tidal account, and streamed to my 210. As expected, MQA did not illuminate when playing known MQA tracks.

Similarly, I used Amarra Play (with the added MQA extension) though my 210 from my iPhone - and playing known MQA tracks from my linked Tidal account. As expected, the MQA light did not illuminate on the 210.
