Having moved house I now only have my 861 and DSP8000 Mk 1.

Before moving I had a 7200.2 as the Centre and the 8000s connected using AC12. The 7200 was the Master.

With the new setup I can only get one of the 8000s to power up with the 861. I assume there is some extra wiring for the comms needed now that I do not have the 7200.2 connected as the Master by SpeakerLink.

I have 861 to 2 x DSP8000, each on an AC12. Is there a wiring diagram or can someone point me as to where I am going wrong?

Many thanks,
Adam

Hi Adam,

Lots of potential problems could cause what you are experiencing...

... My best guess:
Does your Master DSP8000 speaker have a slave Comms return back to its AC12?
(An alternative is to simply connect the two DSP8000 together using a 5S Lead; Din Comms and RCA Phono digital)

But can you also confirm:
Have you now set one of the DSP8000 to be a 'Master' speaker?
(Using the MSR remote)

Is that Master DSP8000 AC12 connected to the Master SpeakerLink L&R output on the 861?
(The one with the green stripe)

Have you changed your Meridian Config so that the relative DSP8000 front speaker is set as Master speaker, removed the centre, and uploaded it to the 861?

Hi Rick,

Thanks for the reply. It will be the lack of return Comms from the Master speaker to its AC12. Are there any specific pin outs? I know I had to change on of the leads when I had the 7200.2 as centre?

Many thanks,
Adam
