Hi

Today, my G68 has no longer produced sound after have been used 5min with my br player on 5.1 track.

I have checked with my CD payer and the sound was OK in stereo.

Back to the br player : no sound frown

I have turned off thé G68 10min. And the sound was back for some minutes only.

The power supply have been replaced some months ago. Checking it, it was producing 5.5v instead of 5.2V.
Setting it to 5.2V has changed nothing frown

Any idea ?

Serge.

Hi Serge,

Depending on how technical you are, you may want to check the following...

There may be a lot of ripple on the voltage rails, causing the unit to become unstable. You would need to put a 'scope on the PSU output to see this. It could be that the PSU is on its way out.

The other thing to try would be to clean and re-seat all the cards - when the unit stops producing sound, put it into standby and using the display button, see if you get version information for all the DSPs (DSP C/D and E/F) - if any are all 0000000 then the DSP card could be making intermittent contact.

Good luck,

Steve

After many tests, it is my coaxial cable that does not pass the 5.1 after 3 minutes shocked
This same cable is ok with a stereo signal.
