I have a five week old Ultra DAC, green display, that has suddenly developed what may be a fault. When turned to standby the four dots in the middle of the display, the same four that usually flash briefly before power off, remain illuminated. I have tried the usual on/off, unplugging routines and reloading the config but it does not remedy this. Everything else works as normal. Any ideas?

Same on my 818, think it’s supposed to be like that, to indicate it’s in stand by

For others to confirm but I think it’s better to leave it in standby than to turn it off , unless for longer periods of course.

I’ve just checked my 861 display, the same four dots are there but much dimmer than the Ultra's display, I’ve never noticed them before. Changing the brightness and contrast does not effect the standby display, both are set at 11/8 and the Ultra is much brighter. Thanks for the heads up.

Yes, it is just your display letting you know that the device is connected to power and is in standby. DSP speakers with a display show a green dot when in standby for the same reason.
