To be fair that looks an incredible room, I would suggest the screen is vertical masking.

Current walls are in grey but getting them re-done in black with the light switch and sockets removed!

Oh and for those wondering, the sound and picture are quite simply mental.

Barco are back tomorrow to finish calibration (day 3 or 4 I think of calibration) and to give it its DCI certification smile

Well done for having completed such a high-quality project.

Which films have impressed you the most so far?

We have only watched 2

- Bond (honestly not the best quality).
- ET (it was Christmas) which looked and sounded amazing.

We don’t officially move in for a week or so so we don’t really have use if it yet.

Best
Chris

I was only kidding, of course, although on the other hand, I really would be interested in seeing and hearing this! I’ve owned most DSPs and 2-channel/multichannel Meridian setups, but I’ve never heard the in-walls and certainly not properly installed in a dedicated room…

Enjoy!

Fantastic installation. I would put money on it sounding better than the M demonstration room with it's inherent rattling problem of the air conditioning fan units in the left hand wall.
Beyond my wildest dreams. "Slow burn" is almost on fire. I love the lighting, could I please quote for the popcorn sales franchise?
Congratulations

The Barco calibration guys who flew in yesterday apparently said this was the best sounding cinema they had ever heard and their job is to setup the majority of cinemas worldwide (with Barcos in) including all the 'big' public ones.

In the end it is way easier to control sound in a small room like mine.

Couple of photos from today - the projection room in progress!
