Hi,
I want to install an IA30 card in my 861v8, but in every document I find it's about earlier versions of 861.
Is it compatible with v8?
I'm also unable to find something about the installation procedure ...
Can anyone help?

Hi Lorenzo,
I don't think that the IA30 card is supported in the v6 or v8.
You will probably achieve far better results with an external phono stage.

That card is not supported in the v8. You need to use a quality phono pre amp

It's a pity that phono cards are no longer supported ...
I was then considering whether to use a normal phono pre and enter the 861 in analogue or, instead, look for a phono preamp with integrated ADC and enter the 861 digitally.
Something like PS Audio’s NuWave Phono Converter or Mcintosh MP100.
I have read also about Puffin park audio.
someone has experienced or made some tests?

I have been busy trialling various phono stages over the last 2 months, and despite quite positive results, everyone has caused the analogue input to clip, and although I can't hear any distortion, it will be there.I'm now looking at either using Rothwell in line attenuators or looking at Gold Note PH 10,which can give a 3db cut.I hear some people use a decent preamp with a phono stage and just use the volume to control the output.I would be interested in hearing a Puffin,but quite rare in Uk

At the end I bought a PS audio Nuwave Phono Converter.
Not installed yet but I’ll let him do the Analog to Digital conversion, then I’ll enter the 861 digitally (Spidif).
Any suggestion about the format to set?
PCM 24/96? DSD?
I don't know what 861 and 7200.2 supports ....
