Meridian Unplugged - Powered by MrTechGuy.co.uk Forums Discussion Meridian - Systems 210 and 219 Pre-amplifier module for the 201

Greetings everyone,

I recently acquired a 221, 222, 223 and 226 from the "out of warranty" 200 series. I would really like to connect these with my existing 200 series for the multi-room setup. Apparently the 210 module was an additional module to be build in the 201 to make this possible, however I have a 201 which has a 219 module build in. Are these two pre-amplifier amps modules similar? Or do I really need the 210 module to make this work? Also been looking really hard for the wiring schematics and/or installation manuals for these units, which are nowhere to be found... Just asked Meridian if they can provide these, but perhaps someone on this forum has them? Many thanks in advance. feel quite lucky to finally have this set complete. So any input is welcome.

Greeting from the Netherlands,
Hannes

The 210 and 219 are similar, the 219 has 2 fixed System 1 and System 2 outputs (in addition to its local zone which can be fixed or variable) and the 210 has variable outputs for both the main System 1 output and the System 2 output.

The details can be found in the Appendix, pages 7 & 8, of the 201 Mk.1 User Manual to be found on Duncan's Meridian Info site. A link to Duncan's site can be found at the top of this web page.

Installation is straightforward once one has the 201 case open - exact method depends on which version of the 201 you have, ie plastic surround to the glass vs no plastic.

Hi John,

Many thanks for the info, will look into the manual of the Mk. 1. Cheers!
