Unconfirmed rumour has it that Tidal will be coming to Tesla vehicles in the forthcoming V11 software update.
Hopefully it will support Tidal Masters and full MQA decode and render.
Anyone seen anything to corroborate?

I found this link Tesla Tidal
No 18 in the Hall of fame I have simple tastes; I am content to settle for the best: GIK monster bass panels, rear wall. QNAP TVS 471i3. Roon into DSP5200SE via 210/ 218 zone... Explorer 2. Bluesound Pulse 2, Mini & Flex. 596v1, 518, Foxsat HD, Sony BDP, Pioneer 5090, 2 Chromecast's for LRB videos. MS200 to F80 for a Roon zone

Having just bought a Model 3 LR, I’d love this. I suppose it would too much to have MQA and Atmos decoding though
Main system - Sources (Kodi-HTPC, Vero 4k, FireTV, Sat) into Trinnov Altitude 32 (8-16) (+Roon), Trinnov Amplitude 8 amp & Vivid Audio (Giya G3, V1.5) and REL Stentor III speakers. Others: F80 + Raspberry Pi and other Pi systems.

Congrats! How do you like the Model 3?
The sound system is surprisingly pretty good for a car. I was able to bring in my library of songs as FLAC files via USB drive, Tidal will be icing on the cake.

Loving it so far. The infotainment system is extremely impressive. The performance isn’t bad either.

Agree completely. The Tesla is one of the few things I've bought in life that I actually like more today than the day I bought it. I find with most things the thrill wears off with time. Because of all of the updates/upgrades, the car is more enjoyable now than ever (the infotainment being just one example).
Another example is my DSP6000s- they sound better today than when I bought them thanks to fully replacing all of the caps on the boards and new tweeters. Listening to MQA through the 818v3 (albeit just the first unfold) is sublime.

I have an M3P and it’s the coolest thing in my life. The first time I put my foot down I felt like I concussed myself.
The sound is really good. I read that they poached some ex-B+O engineers. But the interface is still completely rubbish when you’re used to Roon.

After a typical Tesla long wait, Tidal due out with next major release, 2021.40.x, although this release seems to have stalled so only limited general release so far.
No sign of MQA, although those reporting probably do not know what to look for, but wishful thinking that maybe a third party got involved... Not sure about masters, or even if it is an option, but HiFi only when connected to wifi (or tethered to a phone). Can be downloaded though.

Working here too. I have Masters saved in my favorites, and when played they show up as HiFi when viewed on the Tesla screen.

So is it ...
Masters = MQA = HiFi and everything else is CD quality?
If so is HIFI expected to be better SQ than CD when non getting the MQA treatment?
Cheers Tom
