Do the Meridian processors handle quad. I’ve been trying to get the Chicago quadio box to work and cannot get the rears to make any sound. Of course, my cheap family room system plays them just fine.

I have the same issue with quad material when using HDMI output through my UHD722, when using the digital output from my Oppo directly to my G68 everything is fine...

K, thanks chaps. Just wanted to make sure it wasn’t user error and/or an incorrectly configured setting. Perhaps I will try the coax connection.

The connection method isn’t the issue, but the means of authentically decoding the original codec is.

Simon, if the Disc is a SACD or DVD Audio multichannel, you could probably rip it into 5.1/7.1 PCM or DSF format and stream it via HDMI into your 861v8 with Roon and an endpoint like a Vero 4k+.
I have about 59 albums ripped and tagged with multichannel audio.
Primary: 818v3+ID41, M6 stereo pair, M SpeakerLink cabling, Sonos+96kHz Cullen, silver DSW
HT: Marantz prepro, 271, DSP3300, 8K SE FL/FR pair, DSP M6x2, DSP320x4 (ceiling), black DSW, 520 RL/RR rear in-walls

According to Marc Koval it does exist under the label Super Or Super Stereo. He said look back in early 565, 561 literature on sound modes.
