Has anyone been-there-done-that with shipping hi-fi/AV equipment (e.g. DSPs/endpoints/projectors, etc.) across the Atlantic? In my case initially UK to LA.
For a whole system, did you just use FedEx, etc., or was a specialist courier/shipper required? Or was it cheaper to get a whole crate or something like that?
Literally never done this before so any experience or advice much appreciated.
N.B. this is not for right now, but looking towards when (hopefully!) the current pandemic is over.
Or is it considered cheaper simply to sell here/buy there, rather than shipping, changing mains transformers, etc.?

I’ve successfully used ParcelForce to ship my G95 between the UK and Russia without issue.

Before Bruce at CMB Integrations, I bought Meridian components from UK dealer who used DHL. Shipping was fast and affordable to LA. Also, I’ve used voltage converter to step up our 110 and could not hear any difference in sound quality. IMO you can bring what you’ve got without issue. Or make a deal with Bruce!

If you are moving a household it is cheaper to ship everything as household goods as in most cases there are no added import fees or taxes as you have already paid those when you bought the items in the first place.
