I spoke too soon!
After turning things off and then back on this evening, I’ve no longer got any video out of the HD621. Sound from all sources is fine.
Previously I had video showing from all 3 sources, switching as I selected different inputs from the HD621 input panel.
The video link is still there in the config file and I’ve uploaded the config file into the HD621 (and G68 for good measure) again, but with no success.
I’ll try again in the morning but I may well need to get the hardware checked / fixed after all

To avoid HDMI problems, try to power on equipments from screen to source.
If the HD621 is the problem, try to power on it first or last

1. Check cables. 2. Check cables. 3. Check cables.

I'm with VK ...
Check the cables!
Actually, I always had handshaking issues between my HD621 and my old Panasonic PHD-8 plasma, so I wonder if it's something to do with your HD621 and the Pioneer plasma. However, if it was all OK previously, then check the cables!

Thanks all
More checks last night suggested that it is indeed a hand shaking issue.
I tried all combinations of turning on the equipment in turn and found one that worked. I've yet to repeat it many times to ensure it always works but it's positive news. In summary the plasma needs to be turned on after the HD621 but the order of turning on other equipment doesn't appear to be critical.
I've still got an issue with all sound cutting out (which is why the G68 went to Mr Tech Guy, who found nothing wrong, but we replaced the power supply as a precaution anyway) but I might have traced that to the stereo audio out from the plasma media box which is routed into a stereo analogue input on the G68, because when I unplugged those wires the problem didn't reoccur whilst I finished the film I had on (and before it had cut out all sound every 10 - 15 mins, and then when I wiggled wires randomly it came back on again).
More investigations to follow on that issue. If it's not that stereo connection then it may well be a fault with the HD621. The blue Meridian wires in use between the HD621 and G68 have already been checked by Mr Tech Guy.
It will be nice when it's all working!
